How will you know if you Smiggle product is an original?
Smiggle prides itself on quality, creativity and attention to detail (it’s kind of our thing). Genuine Smiggle products should never have misprints, uneven badges or incorrect branding. The Smiggle logo should always look clear and authentic.
Materials and finishes should feel sturdy, well made with smooth internal linings and neat even stitching. Everything is designed to work together too – for example, Smiggle food containers are made to fit neatly inside Smiggle backpacks.
Inside a bag, you should find a securely attached label with details such as the product style and care instructions. Missing labels, fuzzy printing or unclear information are usually a sign something’s not quite right.

How to spot a fake Smiggle Product
If you’ve bought your Smiggle product online or at a store and on closer inspection you’ve noticed that something’s not quite right, please note the following warning. Unfortunately, there are many non-reputable sellers of Smiggle products out there, so if you did not purchase from a trusted retailer or stockist, then you may have been sold a fake product.
Luckily, there are a few key ways to spot a fake Smiggle product before you buy or to try and get a refund from your seller.
- Review branding and logos – is the font, spacing and placement correct?
- Examine material, stitching and finishes – are the fabric and applied finishes the same as an authentic Smiggle product, is the internal lining rough, is the stitching uneven?
- Look at labels and tags – is the font, spacing and placement of text on labels and tags the same as an authentic Smiggle product? Are the internal labels securely attached?
- Review barcode, line and SKU numbers, check both external and internal product tags and labels, do they match, look correct?
- Check packaging and accessories – are there manufacturing features that have been missed or does the packaging have low-quality printing?
- If an online order comes with a white plastic shopping bag with Smiggle branding on it, it’s a fake. We do not use these bags for any online orders.
